After about six months of construction on our Upper Ruvyironza hydropower plant, we are proud to report that excavation is complete for access roads, weir, waterway, and powerhouse. Now concreting has begun on the weir and waterway. At the same time, the turbines, generators and penstock are under construction and will be delivered to site later this year. We look forward to this project injecting much needed electricity into the Burundi grid at the end of 2024 or early 2025.
