Over the past several months we have been conducting extensive community consultations with land owners who will be impacted by our 1.65 MW project in Ryansoro Commune, Gitega Province. Our team has been working closely with international and Burundian consultants from the Artelia Group who have been meeting with landowners in the area, measuring and marking land boundaries, counting crops and trees, and working with the Ministry of Environment and Communal leaders to witness and verify the process. We expect to purchase the land in the coming months, and then to proceed to construction of this small hydropower plant!
